Dave had a great show on Ettes Metallic Cat for owner Mark Donner, winning reserve circuit champion in the Open Hackamore, and a solid tie for third in the Open Derby on Playing With Rey, there was tough competition all weekend and as always, the camaraderie and friendship with clients and colleagues is always cherished. We are so blessed to have such a great group of clients that make the long days at the horse show so fun for us! A huge thank you to everyone who had part in making this show so successful for us and of course to everyone with the CRCA who puts on a great show and makes it run seamlessly

2016 has been very busy for all of us! We have seen six different shows in six weeks, and we're not done yet! Some big highlights of the year: Playinghardtoforget owned by Forrest Purviance was second in her maiden derby at the Sagebrush Classic in Loveland, Co. Spooks Sonic Boom was second in the Open Bridle Spectacular for owner Mary Boyd. Playin With Rey won her first check in the 3 year old herd work. and Ettes Metallic Cat won the Limited Open Hackamore for owner Mark Donner. Penni Wilson and her mare Rappin For Chex were third in the Stallion Stakes derby, Jen Smith and Dun N Dry Boots were third in the Non Pro Limited derby.

Later we went to McCook, NE where we dodged tornadoes the first night, but that didn't deter our success. Smoked Gouda ridden by Reanna Dillman won the Limited Open Bridle both days for owner Forrest Purviance, Ettes Mettalic Cat and David Dillman were third in the Derby for owner Mark Donner.

South Dakota was great to us as always, after we got past the first 100 degree day, it cooled down and was pleasant; Spooks Sonic Boom and David Dillman won the Open Bridle both days for owner Mary Boyd, Snaps Smart Mate took and second and a first in the Limited Open Bridle for owners John and Penni Wilson. Both Mary Boyd and Linda Cellini were very good in their respective classes and made the box only challenge where Mary and her mare Diamondsaremyhobby fought for a hard-earned second place in the Non Pro Limited and $5k Non Pro Limited.

The CRCA Mountain High was a great time, and a successful show; where David Dillman showed Ettes Metallic Cat to a third place in the OpenDerby after trouble in the herd. It was the great comeback! Dave showed Forrest Purviance's mare Playinhardtoforget to a second in the L1 Derby. Jen Smith and Dun N Dry Boots won the Non Pro Limited Derby, Gianna Hansen and her mare Peptos JLo won the Non Pro Derby with Penni Wilson and Rappin For Chex following with second.

What an incredible year it has been, again! And we certainly could not do it without the support of our clients, sponsors, and horse health enablers! Oh, and not to forget all the amazing horses that have carried us to so much success, we certainly don't want to be doing this on foot!!

With showing horses in any discipline, there will always be ups and downs, and we always take away from our downs the opportunity to find an up.

Through the hard times this year, we have felt more comradery in the barn than ever before, the support everyone has shown one another has been inspiring, and that has certainly carried over into the show pen as well.

We hope that the end of this great year is the Segway to an even better and more successful year for everyone next year! With the incredible team that we have, we know we have all the support and means to stay on top!
